I started off in a bad mood, but it gradually got better. The fishing was rubbish all day, and I discovered that the top lakes nearest the car park, are only about two foot deep, absolute maximum, so these can be discounted.
In the evening, when the evil cold wind died down, I went to my ex-favourite swim, where the big tree fell down, And it delivered.
Classic fishing ensued, with gentle evening sunshine, carp feeding bubbles all around my float, and non stop action for three hours. I would have caught loads of carp, if i had been a bit more on the ball.
In the end I managed two nice ones, that fought really hard.
