The purpose of this page is to analyse and find patterns in the catch rates of carp under various conditions and using different techiques and baits. The data is automatically mined from my dynamic php fishing diary. As I fill in a diary entry for a fishing trip, the data about fish size, weight, species, time of day caught, and so on, is stored in a mySQL database. These numbers are then dynamically fed into the charts below to visually describe my fishing records and catch rate.
This chart shows the total number of all species of fish caught per month for all years.
This chart shows the average per trip number of all species of fish caught per month for all years. This is possibly more interesting than the totals per month (above), as to a certain extent these just reflect the fact that I do not go fishing as much in the winter.
This chart shows the total number of all species of fish caught per weight category to the nearest pound, for all years.
This chart shows the total number of all species of fish caught grouped under various baits used, for all years.
This chart shows the total number of all species of fish caught under different weather conditions, for all years.
This chart shows the total number of all species of fish caught for each of the three main fishing techniques used, for all years.
