For the first time in a long while I really enjoyed today's fishing. Sunny and warm, with gentle winds, it was a great day for relaxing, and even better angling.
The ledger rod alarm never stopped all afternoon and evening, but float fishing wasn't working as well as it normally does. The reverse is normally true.
I caught twelve common carp in quick succession, the largest being nearly nine pounds. I am warming to this place.
