I was determined to have a relaxing, fun day in order to de-stress and make the most of the last of the summer. It was sunny, breezy but warm in my little sun trap that I set up, with the help of my bivvy.
It was slow fishing all day, but I caught a monster at tea time, and it took at least 30 minutes to get it in. It certainly made my arms ache. My scales did not work correctly I suspect, but I estimate it at around 17lb 6 ounces.
I used a large high protein 20mm boilie, which seemed to pick out the larger carp at last. Saw a beautiful kingfisher, caught another beautiful Mirror carp, and had a few beers. Great day.
