It was a very sunny and hot day, and dozens of small carp were sunbathing all over the pond. It was weedy, and the water was quite clear, so I could see a lot of fish activity. At one point I had a whole shoal of carp feeding at my feet.
I got quite a few bites, and eventually got five small carp, althought they gradually got bigger as it got later in the afternoon (why does that always happen ? Is it that the bigger carp are older and wiser and wait until the light drops to feed ?).
Anyway, it was a quick drive there, but I think the average size of the carp is too small for me. Not sure if I will go again.
