Decided to try out a fishery near Totnes, and was glad I did. It is pretty, secluded, and an easy drive from my house.
I set up with anticiaption, but quickly realised that I had the wrong bait (boilies are banned) and was at the wrong end of the lake, where it was only two feet deep.
I perseveered and caught one carp, but the conditions were terrible, and it has not put me off trying here again. My new bivvy was fantastic, and I was cozy in there all day sheltered from the wind.
