Ives been dying to fish this swim for a couple of months now, because it looked so "Carpy" now with the fallen tree, Unfortunately, everyone else has had the same idea, and it was always occupied by the time I arrived.
It was not long before I was getting bites, and lost a couple of fishing. Gutting. It was absolutely teeming with carp at one point. But then the bites dried up and it went quite for several hours.
In sheer desperation, on my last cast, right close into the tree, the float disappeared and I get a nice 10 pounder in the net, after a vicious fight.
I want to go back again as soon as possible, but it looks like winter has kicked in now, with gale force winds and rain, so I might not be able to face it.. Oh well. Another season's carp fishing come to an end, and I cant complain. I have caught a lot of carp, and my biggest ever.
