It was forecast to be very warm today (it wasn't) so I thought I'd give the new Alfa Romeo a spin up the A12 to Marsh Farm. It was humid at first, but as usual a cold wind came up off the (grim) North Sea.
Almost immediately I caught a 9lb common, which leaped clean out of the water trying to escape. A couple more beers later, and a few more carp, and I was in to a powerful 10 pounder. The back swim now seems full of carp, probably because they have decimated all of the trees and over growth for some reason, so this is one of the few places to hide.
Next week I am going to try one of the front lakes, as ironically they have more features now. A good day, lots of food, but no cigarettes !.
