Summer has finally arrived, so I decided to visit Marsh Farm Fishery for a few days camping and fishing. It was perfect blue sky for the three days that I was there, and very hot, which killed the fishing, but I got a great tan. Tried out my new tent (it was awesome) and had plenty of nice food, sunsets and sun tanning

Last August I took Sam to Bromswell Lakes for a days fishing, and it turned out quite action packed. It was very hot and humid, and we had plenty of bait for the fish, and food for us. We fished the bay, my favourite spot, on float and ledger (two rods each) and started catching carp almost immediately. I won the day with about six nice sized carp, and a nice Koi, which is rare for me.

This August I spent five fantastic days camping at Cobbleacres Fishery in Norfolk. It has about five lakes and you can pitch your tent right next to the water. It was very hot while I was there, and maybe this is why I only caught a handful of small carp. Ate loads of food and fished all day in the sun. Perfect. I will definitely consider going next year.

This was my first ever fishing and camping trip. I hadn't intended on fishing, just camping. But one morning I got up early and went for a walk, and saw two lads who had caught a 10 lb carp, and it looked enormous to me. I immediately went out and bought a cheap fishing rod, and the next day I caught an 8 lb carp, which got me permanently hooked on fishing.
